About a twenty minute boat ride to the cove where the restaurant is located. We had lunch in an isolated cove, on the side of a hill, with the beautiful, blue Mediterranean Sea in front of us. Unfortunately (for us), storms had kept the fisherman...More

I did this hike yesterday, and whilst I wouldn’t deter anyone from attempting it, I would recommend you be reasonably fit. I am, and I have done hikes like this before, and I am 60 years old. So sure, if you are younger, go for...More

We took the ferry from camogli, and spent half a day. Prior to going, I had read all these reviews about how crowded it gets, and wasn’t sure what to expect. Yes, it was crowded, but that was part of the charm and the experience....More

This is a nice place to visit but I don’t recommend it to go there because in August because of the big crowd.

Beautiful location and a beautiful way to arrive you can either hike or catch a boat. We caught a boat (15 euros two way ticket to go from Recco to this location and back) (on the way back we stopped in Camogli to swim too)

I took the boat from Santa Margherita, and that made the entire trip worth it. With a short stop at Portofino, we made it here within 30 minutes. I rented a towel, umbrella, and chair, for 20 euro. It was well worth the price, knowing...More

The boat ride from S. Margherita L. was wonderful and made the whole trip worthwhile. If you’re a decent walker, then hike back to Portofino, take a lunch break in one of the harbor cafes and then take the boat back to S. Margherita from...More

A truly magical place only reachable by boat or foot. Having said that, given the scaffolding which covers the tower and part of the monastery it is a bit disappointing. Tip, give the restaurant a miss, the food is rather disappointing. Extremely unreliable boat service...More

My 8 year old and I went in April, so it was nice and quiet and well worth the train and boat we took to get there.

Agree with Ana. Went there last month and we hiked through but it's so small you can keep an eye on your stuff while swimming. Enjoy!
