The place is a lot larger than it looks from the road. It's like a layer cake: 3 sets of massive and steep marble steps to get to the mausoleum itself. Not bad for the penultimate Nguyen king who was nothing more than a puppet...More

Lots of steps to climb and somewhere outside Hue, but well worth the visit. We didn’t have time to visit any of the others, so can’t make a comparison, but the actual inner sanctum was quite impressive.

Believe me, you should visit this place, not only because of their beautiful architecture but also because of Vietnam's history.

A beautiful tomb with intricate and opulent architecture. However you finish it quite fast, and unless you’re doing it as part of a tour, it actually takes longer to get a taxi to pick you up to bring you back to Hue than visiting the...More

We paid for the package ticket available for 360k dong for the 3 tombs + the citadel. We rented a scooter from Hue and the site is around 7km from the centre. This site was my favourite of the 3. The site is beautifully set...More

This is an amazing tomb and the decoration is fantastic. There are lots of stairs that lead through a couple of different areas but it's worth the climb

Probably even better than the Imperial City in terms of view and the architecture. We were totally blown away by the scale and the attention to detail in every aspect. Very sad to see some graffiti on the tablet- make sure you cover your knees...More

Six of us visited the tomb on 7 July. This is one of the nicest tombs out of the three we visited in Hue. Entrance fee 100,000 VND each. But for those who want to visit more tombs and the imperial city, better to buy...More

The tomb was cool, but be ready to climb some stairs. The buildings were magnificent, showing how to truly leave a legacy. A bit unclear whether or not taking pictures of the inside were permitted, which is sad because the mosaic in there was marvelous.

We arrived early, so faced no queues, crowds or stifling temperatures! We climbed up the steps to see architecture, and the noteworthy interiors. You need to plan your transport strategy - there are no taxis available (and it's a short drive from town) and no...More

You can arrange a private car/taxi to chauffeur you around to all these locations. This can easily be arranged with help from your hotel receptionist or one of the travel agencies in town (VN travel for instance). I think... More

All the tombs are near each other and to Hue city, at most 10-15km each leg. We paid 550k for a driver to take us to three tombs and wait 30min for us at each, about 3 hours total.
