Did a quick tour through the fortress as we didn't have time for the pay tour. It was quite a complex and I'm thinking it would be worth the price of the pat tour.

This place has a great position with great views of the Danube and Novi Sad, and it has great historical significance. Built by the Austrians as a border defense against the Turks.

A very nice place to stroll around, and see some art, outside and in artists’ studios. Probably better to see in the summer but any time is great to see the views and absorb the peaceful atmosphere.

There are no entry fees. You could drive in by car and use public parking without paying (I were there on April 2015, parking was free) or you could go by bus or by foot cross the bridge and upstairs to the clock tower :)
