This museum has an amazing collection of artifacts from the area, particularly pottery. I've been to museums with pottery collections but this is one of the best (and emptiest). So, you can really see the pottery in detail. Best done with a guide.

Arriving from northern Sicily even with GPS I missed the turn into the museum and unable to turn around in the busy city lost about 30 minutes. When I finally turned around I once again did not see the sign(although one is posted going south). I finally made my way to my hotel

If you like to visit museums - you will love this. Everything they found around the temples is now here. Be careful of getting there. We took the bus from Agrigento (Rick Steves) everyone (bus ticket seller, bus driver, helpful citizen) all told us that YES this bus will take

This is a good little museum for those visiting the nearby temples. Lots of artifacts , well presented. The viewing terrace outside gives panoramic views across the valley to the temples themselves - wonderful. Good toilets, small cafe, interesting building..
