This was the highlight of our trip to Vienna. We booked directly through the Wiener Staatsoper site and had great seats in the front row of the loge with the surtitles on individual small screeens. The performance of L'elisir d'amore was charming and the building...More

Got ticket to see Salome! Nice production and worth queuing up for 2 hours. The standing room ticket price have increased to €10 each. At this price, some may wonder if it would be more sensible to pay more to buy in advance and get...More

The show we watched - Les Conte D'Hoffmann - was a mesmerising performance. The Wiener Staatsoper is an elegant building.

Beautiful, historic, world-renowned opera house. Wonderful experience seeing Verdi’s La Traviata. The theater offered subtitles to translate. Nice cafes, restaurants and shops within walking distance.

La Traviata with cheap sro tickets on first night, then great center box front row seats for Don Carlo, second night. What an unforgettable experience! At intermission of Don Carlo, a Viennese lady who sat with us, was kind to tell me about the history...More

This opera house is beautiful, no doubt about it. There are a couple of things to watch out ... - Hard to find your section. You have to keep asking the staff because there is no signs anywhere. - Becareful when purchasing your tickets. I...More

Had good seats so dressed accordingly in suit and tie. But others were in smart casual. I understand on big nights dress wear is de rigueur.
