The square with two imposing museum buildings looks so elegant. The status of Maria Theresien is for sure the highlight.

a monumental square between the museums and the city hall, it turn into a magic carillon at xmas with its massy specialties and handmade gifts ... buy one and never forget the magic....

The central monument inspires the greatness of an empire and the greatness of an important ruler. Also, the square is beautiful and has some of the most beautiful museum here.

The statue is wonderful. The museum buildings around the statue were beautiful. We walked from the Hofburg to the statue.

Come here when bright and sunny, you will get to appreciate the statue best and laze around on the benches / grass patches. There will probably be people trying to sell you tickets for Mozart-themed performances but if you say no they wont hound you....More
