After lunch at the Omphalos restaurant, we headed for the Delphi site armed with hats, bottles of water and shod with reliable and comfortable walking shoes. This monumental complex is awesome as it had also played an important role in the lives and fortunes of...More

I didn’t realize that the setting was so spectacular. Be aware that to reach the stadium you’ll be walking uphill on well graded paths and steps. Bring water and sensible shoes or sneakers. Also, you’ll appreciate it more if you do a little reading beforehand...More

Well preserved heritage by far. Imagined that these ruins of House of Apollo, the sanctuary of Athena were built by hands.

The day before we visited Delphi, I had been bored stupid at Ancient Olympia - just another collection of rocks, lumped in a field, to this untutored eye. I was preparing for more of the same at Delphi - and I could not have been...More

Of course this site was on my bucket list. It is inspiring and the site is wonderful. It is not pet friendly but I didn't understand why since I found stray cats and dogs on the site
