We literally made this winery within 10 minutes until closing. They were so gracious and inviting and encouraged us to taste their wines and stay for as long as we'd like. A very gorgeous setting with tasty wines. Their wine bottle bags are such a...More

We wanted to visit a winery close to town and Cartuxa was the one we chose. The guide was enthusiastic, personable, and engaging. While the tour was simple, the experience was great for 2 reasons: 1. To see the “corporate” film that provided a history...More

Very close and easily accessible from Evora. The tour was very good, and the tasting was awesome. Definitely need a reservation for the tour. Would recommend - really liked the wine!

The main focus of the visit is the wine, definitely, however it was very interesting also to learn about other topics addressed, for example the “Fundação Eugénio de Almeida”, how it started, it’s values, principles and objectives. They also briefly elaborate on the other productions...More

There were about 20 of us for lunch. The cod fish was excellent. The venue is elegant but relaxed. What a super introduction to this area if Portugal.
