I have been to the various sites of Flanders Fields many times, but it has been quite some time since I visited Hill 60. been there recently again and it has been improved much, in acessebillety and information. The history has become a bit clearer and easier to read and learn

Having read that near to 50,000 people died fighting for or defending Hill 60 I expected something real special. What I found was an area so small that even standing upright 50,000 would probably not fit in the area. The crater resulting from what was lots of hard work

Hill 60 is a moving place to visit. So many people lost their lives here in WWI and there is a huge crater filled with water alongside it, a testament to the tunnellers and the bombings in the area. It has a walkway which is mostly accessible for wheelchairs and mobility aids.

Not very much interesting to see here, but still worth the trouble looking for. It's a bizarre place - so quiet and peacful, but knowing those horrible things happened here... Worth a visit!
