Forget the name of the place which you go to by Funicular. The lake looks beautiful from there. The lake is huge when you see it from the town. You can walk along it on one side on the promenade. Jealous of the people who...More
Clean and wonderful city to visit. Lake is amazing. This is a safe clean city to visit if you would like some relaxing time. The day we went they were having a market in the Park alongside the lake. It was really nice to stroll...More

We took the train from Milan to Como, stayed in Como for a few days, then took the train from Como to Lugano. I know you can take a direct train from Milan to Lugano. The train was fast and easy. You can take a ferry from Lake Como to Mennaggio then a bus to Lugano but the train would be a much faster unless you want to see Mennaggio which is also beautiful.
