Crossing this bridge, you get a good view of the River Arno and the Ponte Vecchio. You cross from the historic part of Florence to the Oltrano part to visit the sights in that part of town. Nice.

The bridge is named after the ancient church in its vicinity and it is the oldest elliptic arch bridge in the world, with three thirty-meters wide arches. The bridge was built in the 16th century, designed by Bartolomeo Ammannati, the famous Florentine architect.

This bridge pass over of the Arno river. There are two beautiful statues on both sides of the bridge. This one is close to the Ponte Vecchio.
