We thought wr were just visiting the Cathedral but the cloister is lovely and the museum was showing a fab exhibit of da Vinci's botany research and discoveries with models of some of his inventions and living specimens of the many plants he studied. Well...More

It is one of the most beautiful churches in Italy and it offers plenty to see! There is beautiful artwork, architecture, tombs and graves, and other interesting tidbits of history. There were also geometric sculptures from Leonardo Davinci's notes in the courtyard, with the church...More

I have been traveling for business. It was great to go after the busy day to this church. Long opening hours, quite, possible to enjoy the visit and contemplate.

This church is beautiful like most of the churches throughout Europe. Bishops, Cardinals and nuns have been buried here. Out of respect for this church, it’s simply beautiful and it’s worth the $10 Euro visit. You can’t go wrong if you’re a Christian.

Most people rush past on their way to and from the main Florence railway station which takes its name from this church. If you can, I would recommend that you try and find an hour or so to visit. As well as being a beautiful...More

Yes. It's already very warm in Florence. We went yesterday and there was no issue at all with dress code. Unlike in Venice where women must cover their shoulders??
