Very impressive square. There are many amazing statues such as Neptune riding on a chariot, Perseus with the head of Medusa, a David replica...all in the original locations where they were meant to be. Lots of shops & restaurants.

We didn't have time to go inside. I remembered the building from an Anthony Hopkins Movie, "bowels in or bowels out?" The putdppr statues were amazing. I took so many pictures and when I got home I looked up who made what and what the...More

It’s a bit of achievement to get to the top of this but well worth the view, can get quite busy but if you go late in after noon the queues aren’t that bad. It’s a must go place, and there’s plenty of cafes around...More

We didn't pay to enter the Palazzo Vecchio as we'd been twice on previous trips, but if you haven't been before then you definitely should. But even if you choose not to go inside you'll still enjoy it's towering presence over the Piazza, and the...More

We didn’t have a tour guide. We just wandered through the castle on our own & spent about 2 hours. It’s a huge palace with many displays so you can spend as much time as you like. We didn’t take the stairs up to the dome... More

You can walk through the plaza for free. Museums and other attractions have a price. If you are going to be there for a while I suggest the Firenze card. My wife and I found the museum worthwhile.
