Try to avoid the daytrippers from about 10:00 - 4:00 to really enjoy the expansive St. Mark's Square and the amazing architecture all around you. Get lost in the maze of streets leading to and from the Square.

The canal and views exceeded all my expectations. I will be back to do it all again next year. We were here just before the season really kicked in, something I recommend you do if you can.

The historic centre of Venice is magnificent. As we strolled, we could just picture was it was like in the older days. Most of the city is extremely crowded so walking along some of the smaller canals provides superb views, different architecture, and a time...More

I've been in Venice over 10 times, and every time I come again I'm overwhelmed and I find something new. This city cannot leave you unimpressed, it's just enough to be there, to walk and watch around. Venice is a unique open air museum on...More

San Marco is the place to be. Party, eat, fireworks. Walk around the corner along the lagon to the Hotel Danieli for something finer.
