If you do nothing else then at least take a water bus round to lagoon and see the islands from the water. Each has different characteristics, and just watching all the vatious water craft go about their daily business is quite fascinating. Some are working...More

We have just fininshed a short cruise around Venice with Croisi Cruises, great value for money when compared to the APT tour we did after it. Being a French company you can expect fantastic food each day and it does not fail to deliver.

This large body of water is home to the city of Venice and many other islands. Connecting the city of Venice with the mainland is Ponte della Liberta and the railway bridge. It has 3 inlets that connect with the Adriatic.

My hubby & I had been to Venice in 1999, but this time we came with teenage kids. I'll never forget their face when they saw it. As soon as we stepped out of the train station - the Venice magic was everywhere. It's just...More

Leaving the docks in front of our hotel we were on a large water taxi to take us to the mainland. Lagoon is a strange description to me. It is a very large area of water with about 100 islands in it. Relaxing with nice...More

I think the master glass blowing demonstration in one of the factory on the island of Murano is free. But you need to check the time when demonstration is given to the public.
