Entering this museum is like traveling in time and finding yourself walking in the very heart of ancient Rome. You really appreciate how the towns has been built - layer over layer - on Roman foundations. Surprisingly, there was no crowd. Museum is well organized....More

One of the most amazing monuments! Absolutely loved it! Really gives you a better understanding of the ancient Roman world and history. Walking along an ancient Roman road created to serve this building is a unique experience.

Described as perhaps the first shopping mall in the world, this magnificent complex is intact enough to close your eyes and imagine what it must have like in its prime. Merchants' offices or perhaps shops, a library, halls for concerts and plays, and perhaps Trajan's...More

Looked for an air conditioned place to take a break and stumbled upon an entrance to the museum. The museum showcases pieces from different times and cultures, not just Roman. There is access to the outdoor part of the 'market'. Unexpected and well worth it.
