Our hotel had Plaza del Mercado as its address and it is a lively Plaza, especially during the hours that the Central Market is open. Having said that, also in the evenings there are many people strolling about the Plaza, having drinks or tapas at one of the many terraces.
Just by the Central Market, this is a very busy and bustling square, especially when the market is open. Lots of cafes and restaurants and interesting buildings.
Very colourful and imposing old market building. Its use of coulourful tiles and windows makes it pleasing to the eye. The plaza is quite large and has many cafes around. Good to sit and plan your next foray around the city. The market is a must see,
First and last Point of call. Usually come home with a cold bag of meats and fish that we dont get in our area. If I lived in Valencia I would not need a fridge or freezer!
The city converted this old place into a market that sells food. It only opens in the morning. Quite a nice walk to experience the Spanish culture and heritage. Easy to walk around.
