We used a self guided walk from the Lonely Planet guide to explore this area. This was one of favourite areas in the city, great buzz, cute shops and restaurants. Would stay closer next time.

This place is the real deal. Where the locals party like nowhere else. Bars and Clubs open till the early hours of the morning. Unbeatable streetlife that doesn't abate. Unmissable Madrid experience

If the weathers still good check this area out , which has the square as its nerve center, street life without danger .. just a lovely evening , and very encouraging to see how people can just hang out and have a good time

I guess this is the bohemian area in Madrid. We really had fun around, the atmosphere is so... Spanish, I guess. There are no spectacular buildings, nothing extraordinay,is the atmosphere.

We walked around and stopped in the shops. Lots of people watching. Cute streets. We didn’t eat here but some of the restaurants looked very inviting.

It was nice visiting the place just to see the shoppers and the various stores. It always seems to be busy.

Malasaña has the coolest vibes and trendiest bars in Madrid. I find myself wandering back to Malasaña all the time and exploring the different cafes and bars and looking at the trendiest stores. I love this neighborhood and a must visit when in Madrid!
