THis is free and very intersting and well done. Shows ongoing dig & restoration of old Barcelona ruins. Well laid out and displayed with informational signs. A self walking tour. Many restaurants near by, We stayed in this neighborhood & loved the location.

Definitely make time to do the tour of El Born CCM it is only 4 EU's. Fascinating history. We had an amazing tour guide, Sonia. You do get to walk amidst the ruins. So glad we made time to do this.

We stayed in a hotel in this area of Barcelona and really enjoyed it. There was a large selection of bars and restaurants with some small squares secreted about in this part of older Barcelona and it was nice just walking around and feeling safe.

We stayed in El Born while in Barcelona and the neighborhood has a very young energy to it. Everywhere you go there are old buildings that now house cafes, homemade jewelry, hip bars, and takeout eateries. We never found ourselves wanting while wandering the neighborhood....More

Had a lovely stop here with lovely drinks and great staff! So friendly and helpful, really nice food if you fancy tapas style nibbles and some well priced drinks! Really lovely, recommend! Plus a great playlist, :)

Like the Gòtic area, which is close by, it is wonderful to just walk the cobble stoned streets and people watch. Such fun.

This is my favorite area in Barcelona together with Barceloneta. The small streets, shops, bars and everything is so nice and cool. LOVE IT!!

Interesting but would have liked more information about the ruins discovered below the market floor. I tried to download an app. as recommended but this did not work.

So many great places to visit: restaurants and bars draw the crowds, but enjoy walking the winding streets to discover new shops, talk with neighbors, and find new ways to enjoy Barcelona

Totally recommend it, go with some time to spare, and have lunch or dinner, there. There is a historical/archeological site to visit, 30 min should do.

The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent
the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But
this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually
enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few
places that live and breathe such exciting energy
regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood
seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the
city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants

Yes Ryan Air uses the main airport of Barcelona, the El Prat airport. And going into the city itself is very easy with the subway

We stayed at Inside Barcelona Apartments Mercat, which is smack bang in the middle of El Born, overlooking the old market. Perfect location and a really awesome apartment!
