We especially enjoy history museums and their displays. This is one of the nicest we've been in. Boats have been nicely restored and displays are well organized, attractive and informative.
This is a new museum situated in a very old boat yard. I’m a boat person, so I reveled in the displays, including a full sized replica of a galley (see photo).
We were lucky to have the opportunity to visit this museum as part of a reception dinner in this venue. There is a nice collection of small vessels and models. The center piece is a large galley. Impressive!
This was just over the road from where we were staying so have it a go. Free for under 17s which was a bonus. We spent a good 2 plus hours there, plus had a ticket to see the ship at the harbour thrown in.
