We visited the house of Goethe during our trip to Frankfurt. Nice place to spend some time, but unfortunately it is much more focused on his life there rather than his works. In any case, interesting addition for everyone interested in literature and admires this...More

Whilst some will have great knowledge, we, like many, knew little of the story of Goethe other than the Faust and Werther legends through Opera productions. The visit therefore opened our eyes to both the personal history of the family and the social conditions and...More

The house is a replica of the original, but a good one. I enjoyed visiting it and did not get bored. The brochure you are given contains interesting information about the rooms and Goethe's life. Audio guide is paid separately.

Goethe’s house is typical from Frankfurt. Located near Willy-Brandt-Platz it encompasses original furniture and paintings spread over several courses. Interesting if you are fond of history or litterature.

Spent about an hour looking around Goethe’s house which was interesting. It has been rebuilt as the original was destroyed. I would recommend the audio guide (€3,50) as it provides a short commentary on each room and also items within each room and information you...More
