I treated two of my friends to a massage here after reading all of the reviews and we were profoundly impressed. Really loved the tea and cookies they provide, such a small but lovely gesture. Can tell they really take pride in their place. The...More

Berlin simply isn't as cool as it thinks it is. Karl Marx Alle didn't seem to have much going for it. The fountains were turned off and from what we could see it was simply a relabelled attempt to whitewash history.

We came here in an early morning walk. This was part of East side of Berlin, and you have 1950s building to showcase what the East Germans could construct a nice boulevard. The area is now shops, the other side of the road was more...More

You can just stroll in this beautiful lane and enjoy the buildings. You can also take the historic walk and read al about the history of this neighbourhood, written on plaques alongside the pavement.

Not really a lot to see other thsn the attractive buildings, built to be a showcase for the GDR. Msny shops, some selling tourist tat, but many selling unusual items. Plenty of restaraunts and bars, with the occassional small supermarket. Well worth walking around. A...More

When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of
the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party
hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is
palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter
are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may
find a bar with international crowds, electronic
music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other,
an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit
