This is one of those places that you just can't miss if you're just visiting Paris for the first time (though I would NEVER go there without visiting it). First of all, the building is so very interesting! Secondly, it's in a wonderful neighborhood that's...More

It might have been anticipated when it was built that a place sheathed in glass and plexiglass, and with all its innards showing, would need a lot of cleaning and maintenance, but unfortunately, this unique piece of architecture looks grubby and unloved. Inside, the galleries...More

we ordered our ticket on line. Walked straight in past a lineup of people that wrapped the building. I think they will wait for 2 hours or more. We had ordered our tickets just hours before. We covered all the exhibits but was exhausted at...More

Worth a visit if you love Modern art. Don't miss the scenic views from the top level balcony. It was worth the price of admission. I just wish we had more time.

We visited and spent 14 dollars for tickets. You need a lot of time to see all there is to see. A very large place with so many installations. The view from the top floors is amazing. You can see all over Paris.

Altogether a well stocked museum worth the visit. The large and interesting exterior is however deceiving as various areas were not accessable/showing. The roof views of Paris are panoramic, and the restaurant is of a high standard and reasonably priced.

Ok, I admit it. I don't get it. I sometimes don't get modern art, and this building fits into that category. By the time we got to it we did not have time to see their collection, and the Bacon exhibit would take too long...More

Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris,
Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but
the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it
houses the main shopping mall, which nestles
underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and
international restaurants coupled with beautiful
churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to

As others have said it depends how much you enjoy modern art. It is a huge gallery on several floors. We visited in November when it was a cold and wet day so we were more than happy to spend several hours wondering around... More
