If you can, buy your tickets in advance and once you arrive, take a minute to get your bearings and you will find it less confusing. Very convenient and within walking distance of many hotels and shopping center.
Here is where you take the train to Versailles or Giverny. If you need help, the police (always somewhere nearby) in Paris are so helpful and friendly and just a wonderful resource. Make sure you ask first if they speak your language.

Don't buy tickets in advance. When you get to the station (arrive early in case you run into any problems), use the kiosk to print tickets. The policemen in the station are a wonderful resource if you need any help.
