The Flame of Liberty in Paris is a life-size replica of the Statue of Liberty’s flame and the friendship between France and the United States. It also has become a memorial to the death of Princess Diana when she died under the bridge.
Completed in 1989, the monument is a full-scale replica of the torch's flame from the Statue of Liberty located in New York. Nowadays is also an unofficial memorial for Princess Diana as it is very close to the place of her fatal accident in 1997.
