Montmartre is a beautiful neighborhood very alive at night and great for breakfast. Actually, it is awesome at any time of the day. Keep an eye open for the festivals.

Great neighborhood to wander around. Check out the local painters in the charming courtyards as people get their portraits painted as a reminder of their visit. Be sure to wander down the back lanes, stop at one of the many cafes and watch the world...More

Visited Monmartre as part of my trip to Paris. Wonderful landmark, admired the painting exhibition outside, on the street, the gentle bustle of the city takes you to a Renaissance period. Definitely a must visit.

A lot quieter then other parts of Paris. More relaxing with nice quaint streets with cafes and restaurants.

I couldn't climb the hill, so we took the little tram up for not much euro. Well worth it in my opinion!

Beautiful church and neighborhood. Challenging walk to top but worth the effort. There is a funicular as well if you prefer. You can easily spend half a day enjoying the area.

The sacre coeur is Beautiful what it is is that is advisable to go up to it by the funicular, as it is steep and there are a lot of steps. There is security at the top. And today there was a wine tasting all...More

You could also use the tram called Funicular for reaching the base of the Basilica. It's a fun ride with amazing views of the entire city as you're climbing. And it's a short ride but shouldn't be missed.
