Called in the afternoon with my husband for a drink and got a seat straightaway. Barman was lovely, polite and professional. Guinness was the best I’ve had in Dublin, returned in the evening and went to the upstairs lounge, again a great experience. Decor both...More

We came on the Sunday as we heard there was a comedy night. The acts were hilarious and the atmosphere fantastic. Plenty of Guinness was drunk that night.

They have two options here on Tuesdays, a Ukulele session on the top floor and a comedy session in the basement. I had never heard of these but had my first date with my partner at the Ukulele session and it was so much fun....More

We were there twice (2x) in late October, 2019. Absolutely beautiful old pub. The staff was nice and friendly, the food was very good and of course the beer was great. I really loved it there. Much better than the sardine can-like nonsense of the...More

A very well preserved Victorian era pub spread over two floors Extravagant dark carved wood, marble floors and cool granite work tops. Great beer, brilliant service. A definite pit stop for any visit to Dublin

We stopped here for dinner before getting our flight home and a nice way to end our trip. Nice pub food (just be aware they stop serving food early) and cheap drinks to use up the last of our euros. Good atmosphere and staff.

A long thin bar with lots of character, it can be hard to get to the bar and get a drink but the bar staff are very good at spotting a thirsty patron! Great service, very busy bar.

They are very efficient and manage to get food and drink to people pretty quickly. Dont expect a hostess and a wait list. You go in and find yourself a seat. Someone will find you and take your order.

Yes, children are welcome. They had several families present when we were there!
