The narrow river - quite dirty runs as the identity of Dublin and all monuments are by the river bank. The banks have well laid walking ways for people to go through and a bridge every now and then !

Our boat trip along the river was much enhance with our guide. Although the ride was short, the information provided by our boat tour gude was great. The river not only divides the city geographically but also demographically. Dublins population is divided but what side...More

This river is just like most in a major city. Has a litter issue but it is missing the usual stink that most big city rivers have. It is a nice river to view.

Just a dirty old river with high walls. Looks like a canal. I did take a few pictures but cleaned it up with some filters. Basically a divide between the nicer south side and north side of Dublin City.

This is really nothing special or nice. It is a plain river running through town and it really isn't that nice to look at. While it is better than yet another road, I would suggest unless you are in the area or are looking at...More

We enjoyed a lovely walk along the River Liffey up to the Marvelous modern Samuel Beckett Bridge. Easy to do alone. No need for any tour guide. The walk back on the opposite side was just as pleasant. We ended at the River Club for...More

In late April, your reviewer spent some time down on the banks of the Liffey River in Dublin. It's a very still waterway, or at least it was then at the time. The water level was fairly low; one could see bottom debris here and...More

Knowing the location of River Liffey will actually help you get around, once you know where it is, you won't need a map or GPS. This is a beautiful river and I recommend booking some sort of boat tour here, you will love it.
