Dalmore is one of our favorite whisky, and the tour was exceptional. The backstory of the stag motif was fascinating and the grounds were charming. One of the best stops on our multi-day 5-distillery tour.

The distillery is just off the A9, and is reached via a curved sealed driveway. The shop/tasting room is tiny, and it relies on the staff serving there to provide information and history. Tasting is available at 5 pounds a glass. Few visitors, and no...More

Disappointed, as was looking forward to catching the Dalmore distillery on the way back to Inverness from Thurso. I accept the need to do maintenance work to attractions but it would be helpful to have notification on the main road telling of closure. As it...More

We visited the distillery on a brief cruise stop. We are grateful they let us in, as initially they said 'no' since they were fully booked. We briskly walked there from the port in 45 minutes, so we were happy they let us in given...More

I was there in July and it was closed on nSundays. Plus - to assure yourself of getting on a tour - make a reservation ahead of time. Know this: great scotch - average distillery.

I do not know. But the distillery is within walking distance of Alness. I used the local supermarket for a cuppa whilst waiting for the tour. Sorry can't be more helpful.

In June 2015 the cost per person was £8.00 and the tour took about 1.5 hours though we did talk a lot. You must phone or e mail to book tour as limited to 12 persons per tour.
