An excellent national trust property, that give an excellent insight into upper class living in 18th century Edinburgh. There is a series of rooms to visit and an excellent film to watch.

Interesting set up as in the beginning of it's life as a home. Some interesting social aspects. The staff were very well informed and helpful. The stairs is difficult if you have mobility issues. Toilet is on the top floor. Plenty for children to do...More

We happened upon this sight & took it in instead of the obvious castle + Holyrood. This & the art museum excellent representatives of Edinburgh. Stayed at Royal Scots Club not far away. Very nice.

You would have to leave the buggy in the lobby and carry the baby up many, many stairs.
