What an amazing recreation of the Globe. Like many guided tours it came to life due to our expressive and informative guide. Not sure I would like to attend a play and stand. A most enjoyable tour with a little gift shop. I appreciated gaining...More

Our family, including two teenagers, loved our guided tour of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. Our tour guide, Shirra, was entertaining, funny, charming. Her ability to relate theatre life in Shakespeare’s time to Hollywood life today really resonated with the kids. A great family tour.

Went to Midsummer Night's Dream. DID NOT ENJOY People had taken our seats. It would have to be something special before I go back. Left early. :(

Just spent 2 weeks in London. We did 8 or 9 walking tours and 2 theater tours. This tour was one of the very best of all. Our guide, Shira was brilliant ,as the Brits say. She imparted a wealth of information in a lively...More

This is a beautiful and creative reconstruction of the type of theatre which Shakepeare's plays would have first been performed; it is open to the elements. The ambience around the theatre is great, with players mixing with the audience and creating a friendly and conducive...More

We pre-ordered our tickets and had a good bird's eye view of the stage. We also rented the cushions which I highly recommend. The seats are wood benches without backs. The show was "As you like it" and was somewhat hard to follow even though...More

Tremendously much information about the Shakespeare's Globe and all its history were given by our tour guide Sheera. What a lovely young woman with lots of positive energy. Standing in front of a group with a big real smile she greeted us with good puns...More

My wife and I took a chance going to a sold out show without tickets but man did it pay off. A Midsummer Nights Dream was absolutely hysterical and brilliantly acted. We could not have asked for a better London experience. Highly recommended for every...More

We had an excellent tour guide---Norma. She was very informative, knowledgeable. We also viewed the exhibition and had a bonus program of clothing of wealthy and poor women of the time-----very interesting. Highly recommend the Globe.

A fascinating tour of the theatre with a guide who was not only only humorous but knowledgeable. Plenty of time to wander around and take pictures. Well worthwhile.

Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard,
the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond
any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some
time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved
browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street,
foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old
foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks
of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest

You can buy tickets online or at their box office at the theatre. But if you want seated tickets for a popular play you’d be best to buy in advance.

6 is too young for Shakespeare. Would suggest going somewhere else. They will be bored and a waste of time.
