Did a tour that started near here and then walked around the market afterwards. Great architecture and people watching. The market is different by day and some really cool local vendors. Well worth a visit. Great history in the nearby area too.

Recently had lunch in the sun at Spitalfields. Lovely communal use deck chairs under the trees just watching the world go by. We ate our subway salads whilst people watching.

On the way to Shoreditch, we came across Spitalfields. It was different and nice to be at on a Sunday. Not as crowded as Covent Garden. Nice restaurants and also street food. Would like to spend some time there next time.

PROS Large number of shops for clothes/textiles Large number of food stalls of all cuisines. This was the best part. We tried out several and the food was incredible The market has a covered roof so there is no concern during rain CONS None

This part of London is certainly worth a walk around. It has a great mixture of high end shops and quirky market stalls. We even tracked down the Cadbury Creame Egg Mayo!!!
