Amazing views aplenty........ You will know what I mean if you’ve ever visited the area......as these are some of the most stunning views in Cumbria, if not England. The scenery is simply breathtaking......and the photo opportunities are unending. Highly, highly recommend.

Absolutely stunning place to visit and go for a walk. Paths to follow also so you don’t get to muddy while walking

The boat ride around the lake was lovely and one can get on and off at leisure to hike or walk or picnic. It does get chilly on the boat so be prepared

Fantastic walk around the east shore of Derwentwater. This just feels right to walk in any weather, the day we were there it was sunny and raining, typical Lakes weather, but beautiful in any weather.....just do it.

Hi. We've seen many dogs swimming freely in the Lake. If you walk around the whole Lake, you'll need to keep the dog on a lead in parts (sheep & roads) but you'll have freedom for a whole section along the west bank (parking... More
