This is one of the most fascinating temples in Egypt. It is 2,5h car ride from Luxor and it holds some of the most freak and unexplainable mysteries in the country: the bulbs, the melted stars and some other rare and uncommon hieroglyphs that rise...More

A fascinating temple - The really well preserved and amazing colours of the original temple scenes and hieroglyphs are a highlight. Walk through and up the stairs to the top. Cleopatra VII is on the outside back wall of the temple. Some distance north of...More

Not crowded. Cost to enter is 100 Egyptian pounds. Huge columns inside. Lots of color. The outside is carved in many different ways. Only known depiction of Cleopatra.

This attraction has a double reference on TripAdvisor, the other reference being a listing for Dendera Temple Complex under the city of Qena. These are one and the same. The main building in this complex is the largely intact Temple of Hathor, dedicated to the...More

This site was an administration and religious site from as early as 2320 BC. The Temple of Hathor is mainly in tact with a stone roof and columns. The outer Hypostyle Hall was built by the Roman Emperor Tiberius, the Romans respected the Egyptian gods...More
