National Gallery of Canada has interesting collectibles of art and history. One can easily spend 2-3 hours inside this gallery.

The gallery is housed in a beautiful building with great views. There is a cloakroom facility so that large bags and coats can be left and you can wander the galleries unencumbered. An excellent shop with a good range of items. We bought drinks at...More

My wife and I passed by the Maman display whilst touring East Canada and enjoyed the strange, almost eerie sight. The sculpture, just outside the National Gallery of Canada is made of bronze, stainless steel and marble and, apparently, is one of the world's largest...More

Found easily by seeing the large spider in front of the museum. A very nice collection of Canadian art and I enjoyed the First Nation pieces as my favorites.

The building itself is the star attraction of this gallery. So very original and intriguing! The selection of art on the other hand will leave you scratching your head. It ranges from works of enduring brilliance to the obvious politically correct bunk. Sadly, there are...More

Stunning and sometimes overwhelming exhibition. The juxtaposition of some of the pieces worked really to highlight the relationship between the indigenous people and the settlers that took their land. The Motet exhibit with 40 singers is just beautiful. Was somehow hopeful. Our ugliest and most...More
