Well... for a park it would be average, and there is nothing remotely reminding a botanical garden. This is unfortunate but this is the kind of place that will take ages to recover from the previous hurricanes. Can be safely skipped for the foreseeable future.
I took a guided tour with a local. Things are not marked well (some signs would help). It was difficult to see the parrots. There is a banyan tree and baobab tree that crushed a school bus. The bamboo house is interesting. They should really add more, hoped for more flowers.
Dominica is nice little iland where Caribbean cruising go. I recommended to take tour to near waterfall and botanica garden. You can see most of the good views and feel the driving experience on narrow hill roads.
We went all around the island to different sites and the worst posted was the Botanical Gardens in Roseau. It was very hard to find where to enter and if you asked different park personnel you get different answers. We eventually skipped it.
