Most of it is very touristic and looks like any shopping street around the world, but some places are very unique that you can spend hours in them. Daison is my favorite

The shopping street is long with so many different types of shops along it all the way to Dotonbori. You will be spoilt for choice with the number of restaurants along the street too.

The pictures and videos online don't do service to the real thing. Lights, snacks and shopping everywhere. Sensory overload...in a good way! You simply can't visit Osaka and not visit Shinsaibashi-suji.

Full of lights especially the Glico man is very nice during night time. A lot of delicious food and good for shopping at the duty-free shops.

So much to see, so much to window shop and so much to buy for everyone! And surprisingly, the prices weren’t bad at all! Also lots of street food to buy as well. Great place to go especially on a weekday. But starting Friday night...More

the shopping street is just what you would expect. there is very little that is unique or interesting. Osaka in summer is soooooo uncomfortable, concrete jungle, no shade, the place is like an oven. go in spring or autumn.

The shopping street is really cool place in the evening, because of thousands flashing screens promoting everything from heaven to down to earth. Of course flashing can give you headache.
