We really liked this place. Beautiful garden that would be fantastic in autumn. Great views to Kyoto. 500 yen entrance fee, but we enjoyed it. Good 30/40 minutes.

This is a beautiful place to enjoy autumn colours. Nearly the entire compound was shrouded in red, orange and gold. It is also less crowded than the other Arashiyama attractions, and quieter.
