A small cave right on the waterfront in the cute little town of Cushenden. It was a bit of a drive through the mountainous nature reserve (driving from Ballintoy going east) to get there but the coastline was gorgeous and so worth the drive. The rocky...More

We visited these caves as part of our Game of Thrones tour. However, even if you are not a Game of Thrones fan, I would highly recommend this short hike. The caves are cool, and the view across the water from the mouth of the...More

Stopped here on a last minute decision as we were driving by. The caves are truly beautiful, especially if Mother Nature impresses you at all. Was somewhat busy with people and there was a large GOT tour group there... although this was amusing to watch...More

The place is beautiful but there is not much to do around the area, it is good for a stop but not as the final destination. The use in filming of Game of Thrones makes it even more interested for GOT fans.

We parked up in a car park just off the main road and walked to the caves, there is no signage so you really wouldn’t know they are there unless looking for them. Was a great location to explore the caves, the tide was out...More

Saw the sign for the caves and decided to take a look. A bit difficult working out where they were with sat nav but found them. Really nice, short walk and you can walk right into them. Tide was out but I imagine you cant...More

If you are a GOT fan you are going to love visiting these caves. They aren’t huge but very majestic and right on the Ocean. You will recognize them from the show as they shot several scenes here. They are tucked away behind what appears...More

Melisandre gave birth to the shadow that killed the rainbow knight. To know this is a driveway to a house was amusing. Had a good time with our guide Derek who insisted right at this spot that the rainbow knight had to die at the...More

A real joy to spend the day exploring along the coast (and a must for any GoT fan). Plan to spend the a good portion of the day hiking and soaking in ancient Ireland.

Picturesque village, nice cafe and a lovely walk round to the caves- wild and imposing. A Game of Thrones film site apparently. Beautiful views out over the sea to Scotland.

We only had a brief stop in the caves as part of the GoT tour. We stopped here for about 20 minutes before sunset. Trust me, it is the part I remember the most. The views are to die for. So it really depends on how much you... More
