The view of the lakes around the Peñol is the main attraction there. Go early in the morning to avoid the crowd and take tour time going up. A nice michelada con mango as you enjoy the view is your rewarf at the top.

Can be made easily by a day trip from Medellin taking the Public bus (very cheap). If you Plan to arrive before 10am you‘re definetely on top with less people. If you book an expensive tour maybe not. Also a trip to Guatape is recommended....More

There is a sign saying they are not allowed and I don’t think it would be a good idea to take a pet all the way up there. The steps are steep in some spots and it can get a little crowded.
