About
This unfinished fifth-century Doric temple has everything but a roof and an interior, and the huge structure seems unaffected by time. A small theater atop a nearby hill offers visitors a stunning view of green hills and the deep blue hues of the...more

We attempted to visit having read the reviews on here saying there were parking issues and to drive past. We were stopped from driving on by the unofficial scam artists blocking the road. Four of them. Too scared to hurt someone or damage our car...More

To understand the fascinating history of Sicily, you need to see one of the best preserved Greek temples anywhere -- and it's not in modern Greece. Yes, there are multiple tour buses full of people from all over the world, but there's a good reason....More

Even slightly off season, this place was absolutely packed with people. The site itself is breathtaking, but the experience is somewhat marred by the number of people jockeying for perfect selfie position in front of the temple.

A complete scam. Unpleasant experience when tried to park in free public car park adjacent to site. Felt so threatened that deemed it unsafe to leave vehicle. Disappointing and unacceptable.

The temple, and the degree to which it remains intact is quite spectacular. There is also a very well preserved amphitheater about 1.2 Kms walk away which is well worth a visit. However, be aware of the scam concerning parking, when you get to the...More

‘The unreal’, I was thinking when I first so the glimpse of a temple in distance. The sky, the earth, the columns, all aligned when staying in a front. Enjoy.

This such a special place in middle of rural farm area but a fairly short car ride from Trapani or Palermo. Beautiful and gorgeous site. Seems to be off beat and path of the huge masses of tourists even in August. But the setting of...More

A large parking lot is near the entrance. It got plenty of traffic when I was there, so while there were no attendants, there were people around.
