We spent a day visiting two castles. This one was really beautiful inside, very different from UK castles. It was more like a chateau or stately home. The history of it goes back to when Minsk was in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The same...More

Beautiful castle. Spend time walk around the castle to admire its beauty and take great photos. The museum inside is ok. I don't recommend. 1 hour should be enough. There is a restaurant inside the castle, a good place for lunch. You may also rent...More

This is a very impressive historic castle, and in addition to its history as a castle, it was used as a Jewish ghetto during World War II. I highly recommend the audio guide.

We planned this day trip from Minsk and highly recommend the visit to Mir Castle. The castle has been beautifully and meticulously restored. We took the personally-guided tour which added so much to our experience. Our English-speaking guide was knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. She explained...More

UNESCO World Heritage site near Minsk. Castle complex with some fairly steep staircases. Worth the effort.

We visited Mir castle after Nesvizh castle so it was hard to live up to that. It's still lovely though and obviously worth seeing. I think its more impressive on the outside. We had a tour inside which just was a little bit too long...More

One of the most visited places in Belarus, so hard to ignore. The castle ie beautifully renovated. After a while I found the inside exhibition a bit over-the-top long with too many small artefacts. Perhaps a guide would have been a good idea... Nevertheless a...More

This is a lovely building, but a lot more 'military' than nearby Nesvizh. Tickets give the right to enter various parts of the castle. There are the main rooms/exhibition. Visitors can enjoy a hair-raising walk up the steep turrets. You can see the dungeon. There...More
