We spent a day visiting two castles. This one was really beautiful inside, very different from UK castles. It was more like a chateau or stately home. The history of it goes back to when Minsk was in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The same...More
Beautiful castle. Spend time walk around the castle to admire its beauty and take great photos. The museum inside is ok. I don't recommend. 1 hour should be enough.
There is a restaurant inside the castle, a good place for lunch. You may also rent...More
We planned this day trip from Minsk and highly recommend the visit to Mir Castle. The castle has been beautifully and meticulously restored. We took the personally-guided tour which added so much to our experience. Our English-speaking guide was knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. She explained...More
We visited Mir castle after Nesvizh castle so it was hard to live up to that. It's still lovely though and obviously worth seeing. I think its more impressive on the outside. We had a tour inside which just was a little bit too long...More
Very nice place to visit, just a bit more than 1 h away from minsk. The castle is very well renewed. Had a private guided tour and the lady did a great job! However, i think is a but wrong to allow tourists and quest...More

It depends!there are good trips from Minsk, including a guide following you and some more historical sights besides Mir!like nesvizh)the thing is that local guides might not speak English, only Russian(and audioguide inside the castle is horrible, very boring!
If you choose to stop in Mir first, there are a few hotels, two three places to eat,but besides the castle there is nothing to do there(from Mir you can take a bus to Minsk!
So,in my opinion-the guide-tour from Minsk may cost you more, but you will get a better idea of the sights, cover several and won't have to think about transportation
