Discovered the area as we explored Alicante by foot. Lots of steps and colourful views to discover, hot work in the afternoon sun but plenty of shady spots to take a break. View from the chapel is worth walking up for

After visiting the castle,we decided to take a walk back to the town center. This part of the old town is beautiful. Old spanish houses with lots of colourful flowers and narrow streets.

We're renting a super-cute 1 bedroom house in the neighborhood, and are thrilled we ended up here. As the oldest part of town, it's a must-see neighborhood for anyone visiting Alicante. As a place to stay, it's amazing: Quiet -- since there are no cars...More

There are plenty of hotels in Alicante in 5 minutes walk from the district. You can easily get from airport to the center of Alicante by taxi (10-15 minutes and around 20 euro) or by bus C-6 (20-25 minutes and 3.80 euros).
