The Turks must have felt far from home in this remote outpost, which is worth a visit today. We enjoyed walking along the walls and catching the views from the guard houses and the views of the surrounding countryside.

Stunning views! There is quite some climb to reach to the top, but the stairs and the rails help - it isn't too challenging. The fortress itself is nice too, it's green and cool even in the summer heat.

They have installed some metal steps to make it slightly easier, but there are no passing places, so there can be hold-ups. It was very windy when we were there, and you couldn't stand still and take a photo at the top.
