About

The drive to the valley is also nice. The village is too touristic but some restaurants have a nice balcony with a view

Really nice views and scenery. High sided valley with spectacular views. Charming village where you should try the chestnut liquor and chestnut ice cream. So close to Funchal and definitely worth a visit.

Once you get to the viewpoint area of Eira do Sorrado it’s only a short walk to the high point (smooth surface at first and then shallow steps to the top) where you get breathtaking views into the valley far below. The silence is absolute...More

The route to the Valley was precipitous, to say the least and meeting other coaches on the way was a bit scary. The drops at the side of roads vanished into nothingness at times! The Valley itself was beautiful and the village very peaceful with...More

Nuns Valley tour from Funchal is one that must be done. We have been several times and it has such stunning scenery-it never disappoints. Weather was clear and sky blue today to add to enjoyment.
