Beautiful Beach, beautiful nature, kinda smells like poo, hard climb to the parking lot for elderly People, there is a horse-taxi, and goats are very friendly.

Beautiful once you get there- it is a 2 kilometer hike from where you park the car- after a hair raising drive through the narrow, winding, cliffside mountain road ! Bring your own drinks, food. A walking stick would be helpful as you must climb...More

We rented a four-wheel drive vehicle in kisamos and it worked excellent for us. We did not find the drive to be difficult it's just slow going. The beach is quiet amazing but ensure you go early before the tour boats arrives which dumps thousands...More

If you plan to go, I would absolutely suggest going by car. The road is bad but manageable if you drive slowly, and you get the better views than when going by boat. Just prepare yourself for quite e crowd, don't expect a quiet day....More

We were not hesitant at all, even after all of the hard-core reviews of the dirt road to Balos, that we'll be visiting it by car. Boat was only in our plans for a possible trip #2 if we'd want to see it again during...More

The road is not too good but at the end the nice overview for the sea and mountains compensate it. Makes sense if you have enough time to walk around.

A very pleasant and relaxing day trip on a large and well equipped and professionally staffed vessel. Gramvousa Island ,with the higj-perched fortress and beach was very beautiful, and afterwards the short hop to the lagoon was nice. The Balos beach/lagoon is very enchanting, but come prepared...More

We went there with a full day great rented boat with skipper (Fantasia from Kissamos)and, grace to them, we accessed the beach in the empty part if the day, after the big boats went home. Therefor, beautiful silence and color, even the beach itself is...More

Beautiful place to visit, amazing water with clear and blue water. Quiet place until the big cruises get there, then it's a nightmare.

We did not take a boat tour, we drove and hiked down, so I am sorry I could not help you. A boat would be your best option as the drive is very bumpy and the hike down can take 30 to 40 minutes. I do not recommend for... More

There are toilets near the beach, only about 100m up from the main beach. They were surprisingly clean as well when we went there on 21. 09. 2019. That was before most of the tourists arrived around 12, though!
