- diogoalmeida1350 contributionsJanuary canyon toursThe tour was great, amazing landascape. Our guide Teona was amazing. Always ready to answer any question and you can really tell she loves her country.Written 4 January 2025
- Anna K0 contributionsBeatiful places even in winterThe places we could see have been interesting and beautiful, my personal top was Martvil canyon. The group was 8 persons and our guide dedicated to show as much as possible. So besides these 3 main attractions we stopt at some places for beatiful views and also saw old sanatory for patients. I recommend the trip even in winter.Written 3 January 2025

- thomt9770 contributionsGreat guide, dystopian, monasteriesChiatura is such a wonderful dystopian city to visit. Teona is a great guide and showed the Katskhi monastery on top of the hill. We went on multiple cable cars and nice viewpoints to see this old Soviet mining city from many angles. A must see and do go with Megobari, very well organised!Written 26 November 2024
- KarenBonavita0 contributionsVery nice way to easily see and learn about the 3 MonasteriesTeona was delightful on this 3-hour excursion to see 3 Monasteries in the area. It’s a great way learn even more about the history of Georgia as a whole along with the Monasteries. note: Gelati Monastery was completely covered in exterior scaffolding and non-accessible which was a disappointment, but Teona came up with another idea and we walked up the hill nearby and saw an absolutely adorable little church with ancient interior paintings. Recommend.Written 23 November 2024
- KarenBonavita0 contributionsExcellent trip! This trip was again better than we expected. You get so much for your money. At this time of year, personally liked the Martvili Canyon best-gorgeous, the Okatse Canyon walkway high up was amazing and long, lots of steps, and terrific exercise but the leaves had blown off the trees so not much Fall color, though still spectacular. Prometheus Cave was amazing and particularly found the music played several times in the cave absolutely beautiful and it echoed - quite emotional music and sound in the Cave. Our guide Jemali was the driver/guide and handled everything exceptionally well. He was smart, informative, very friendly, and we enjoyed being with him. His English is perfect. In addition to the Canyons and Cave, we did even more, first heading to the best Georgian bakery for lunch, stopping at scenic points, sharing historical and cultural information, stopping by a Churchkhela Georgian candy factory/store, and then visiting and walking through the immense abandoned Sanatorium Medea in Tskhaltubo - WOW what history and a memorable experience here. This was impactful. Recommend this day tour. We highly enjoyed meeting Jemali and we’re fortunate he was our guide.Written 23 November 2024
- 529yauheniyaf0 contributionsWonderful tripOur guide was Jemali and he was super nice and friendly!! We traveled for the whole day and saw many places, starting with two canyons (at one of them we took a trip on the boat), Prometheus cave, finishing with abandoned soviet hotel Savane. During the trip Jemali recommended some place to eat and it was great! We also visited small family run factory of traditional georgian sweets, where we met wonderful people and got a liitle tour around (and bought some sweets home).Overall it was very pleasant and enjoyable, Jemali was telling many little things about different aspects of life in Georgia,so you dont get bored on the road. Also the price is very reasonable. 100% recommend!Written 7 November 2024
- J1030AVfrancescol0 contributionsGreatI spent a week in georgia and before going I booked a tour at Tskalthubo sanatoriums close to Kutaisi city. I had such a good time, my guide was Teona and she was super nice and friendly. The appointment was at 10 am she was already there at 9:40 waiting so we've done a really nice excursion, she explained me everything important and was pleasant to answer at my questions waiting when I was taking picture. The day later I booked another excursion at chiatura, caterpillar and monastery and was great too. A bit too long instead of the day before because of km but super cool experience. I've learnt a lot about georgian culture going through so many infos that, otherwise I couldn't never know GreatWritten 7 November 2024
- N5632BUanastasiap0 contributionsHurma, fresh bread and bunch of emotionsWe booked a private tour for 2 people for the whole day, and we enjoyed it a lot!! Guys picked us up from our hotel in the morning. Our guide Teona was very welcoming and caring, we spoke a lot about local culture and regional sightseeings. Also she gave us explanations when we didn’t understand what was local excursion’s guide saying in the Prometheus caves. We visited Canyons, caves and even managed to stop at other interesting places(which was unexpected surprise) like abandoned hotel. She treated us with hurma and fresh bread😋 So the day was full of pleasant emotions and new memories 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Written 24 October 2024
- 349talb0 contributionsToo short weekend and lots of funWe had a short and intensive weekend and choosing Megobari tours for this trip was the best decision. The tour was interesting, informative, fun and we discovered many little (and big) treasures of Georgia. We highly recommend recommend this tour and travel company . Mikheili was our guide for the two day(1 night) and Ieva was our guide first another 1 day private tour to Martvili Canyon, Prometheus Cave and the various abandoned sanitariums at Tskaltubo. We will be back for sure!Written 24 June 2024

The tour was a very nice experience it was very historical and you can get in touch with the culture of Georgia. Mikheil was very accommodating and patient with us. He introduced us to different cultures of Georgia including food. He even gave us drinks and food during our ride. He kept us entertained during the ride and kept asking if we’re okay. Very professional tour guide and this tour is highly recommended 👍🏻

The trip was fun and the sites were amazing. The only down side was the long drive. Other than that loved it. And our tour guid was super nice and accommodating and answered all of our questions and made some nice suggestions for foods to try.
