Bali White Water Rafting

This was our first activity on our recent trip to Bali and what a great way to begin!
Our driver Deaditya was ready and waiting for in the lobby of our hotel and polite and friendly throughout the long drive to and from Kuta and Ubud.
The rafting itself was brilliant; after a walk down a few steps and a quick safety brief we were let loose on the water and when we weren't splashing through rapids we were calmly floating down the river taking in the beautiful scenery while our guide highlighted points of interest adding to our experience. There is also a stop along the way at a waterfall which is perfect for a fun photo opportunity!
The rest stop halfway had a good selection of drinks/snacks for a reasonable fee and our guide gave us a snake fruit to try which was delicious so try it if you get the chance.
All of the guides were helpful, friendly and a little mischievous which really made the whole experience that much more enjoyable!
It is worth noting that there are a few more steps to walk back up at the end once you've finished rafting which aren't too taxing if you take your time and if you know they're coming however it is something worth considering should you be travelling with anyone who struggles with climbing stairs or steep inclines etc

Great experience with caring driver and funny guild for rafting

We had a great time on this adventure.
Krishna came to our Hotel (Hilton Nusa Dua) on time and carefully & professionally drove us to the White Water rafting location (Ayung river) near Ubud. He took extreme care on us. We left our belongings with him and he took extreme care for those too. He even didn’t let us cross the road but he brought our backpacks to us.

Zelin was our guild for rafting. He was so funny and made our rafting experience more enjoyable.

We highly recommend Krishna and Zelin for this tour.

Fun White Water Rafting!

Our guide, Smiley, made our trip so enjoyable! We had a fun time going down mild rapids and competing with other rafters for head of the pack. We enjoyed the waterfall where we stood underneath for pictures and the final big decline down the rapids. Smiley pointed out plants and lizards along the way. The meal we ate the end was delicious! The staff was very polite and helpful. A great day!

An average white water rafting experience with Bali Sun Tour
We are a family of 3 with a 12 years old boy, joined Bali Sun tour for a private white water rafting tour today. My husband and I have done that few times before and once was at Ayung river years ago and the memory was very good. So we wanted to bring our son this time for his first white water rafting.

Bali Sun Tour picked us up from hotel on time to a quite well established activity center; the lady who welcome us did not explain well about the procedure and we were a bit lost whether we should bring our stuffs or put everything in the locker. Anyway, we then set off with our gear including life jackets and helmets.

There was a 10 mins drive from the center to the starting point, and we need to walk down the mountain for about 10-15 mins, it was fine but if would be better if they brief us in the beginning. They have hired a local old lady to carry the heavy inflatable rubber boat on top of her head - the old lady was impressively strong but I do feel sorry for her. We did not have money with us and could not tip her.

Briefing before the ride was pretty basic, which did not create any excitement ( I remember all the ride we did in the past was a lot more professional and the guide / captain was very commanding who made the ride very exciting )

The ride was pretty tamed - probably because of the weather, water was not high and wild, and it was not thrilling enough.

We did a bit of swimming in the river and stopped by the waterfall.

After rafting, we went back and had shower. There was no hot shower , only cold water shower.

Since we arrived quite late for lunch ( after shower it was about 1:45pm ), there was not much food left on the buffet table. And it seems they would not refilled the food for the last round. We just had some fried vegetable and fried noodle and water. Which was quite disappointing for the price we paid.

In general, it was not a good enough white water rafting experience.

Good fun experience
This was a good fun activity. Made better by our driver Kedis who really looked after us. One thing though there is a lot of uneven steps (about 300) to get down to the bottom and back up. Having said that my wife has had a knee replacement and was able to get up and down. Just. The rafting itself is some 10km so pretty good value for money. We then went to a waterfall which was nice but by then we were very tired and went back to our resort. Overall I would recommend this tour.

We had an amazing time white water rafting. It was my first time and my partners second time and we both throughly enjoyed the day. Our rafting host was good fun as he took us safely though the rapids and finished off with a delicious lunch.

Our driver superdede was on time, very professional, a safe driver and very accommodating. He got us to and from the venue without any issues.

Overall we really enjoyed the day and would highly recommend!

Fun introduction to white water rafting

Our driver, Eno, took such great care of us that we wondered if he really was just the driver. He looked out for us throughout the day, making sure we got our boots and helmets for the ATV, making sure we checked out the official photographs, and helped us snap a few high quality pics using his iPhone that I’m going to use for my Instagram. Didn’t push us to hire him after the trip either so overall we were taken care of without any discomfort.

Booked the combo white water rafting + ATV package. As long as you listen to the instructor, white water rafting here wasn’t scary or dangerous, it was fun and safe like a lazy river with some thrills. ATV was interesting because we drove through mud and even a dark tunnel at the end. The group was large however so you have to figure some things out on your own.

Water Rafting at Ayung River and Waterfall tours

We booked it as a package and there are 4 of us. I must say its great that the drivers are punctual and very patient to wait for us. They are very friendly and knowledgeable in their work. I like how they know when to engage with us and when to stop (when we just want to sleep). It’s quite impressive how they can read our body language. thats one key factor in giving a good service. They also went all the way down with us during the waterfall visit. Really nice of them to accompany and lead us at the exact place. They are also very nice and flexible when we told them that we want to stop by a minimart. Overall, i really enjoyed the activities and also the journey to and fro. Thank you for everything! The drivers names are Gilang and Dede. Thank you guys :)

Faultless experience!!!!
We had the best day white water rafting! We booked through WhatsApp which was super easy and all the staff were really helpful and happy to accommodate 2 pick up destinations. Our driver, Dekgus and our instructor, Eddy were Knowledgeable, helpful and really friendly! I would recommend these people and this company to anyone. They also do paint balling and quad-biking! Also the buffet lunch was lovely ☺️ faultless experience

Nice trip, nice Guide
This trip was awesome. The guide Jack was very nice and funny. The tour is really not so dangerous but nevertheless exciting. Beautiful nature. It's better to take a late tour because of the "traffic" regarding other rafting companies.
