      Cetacean Surprise!
Very special, saw lots of dolphins (not necessarily around at this time of year) and pilot whales before mooring up to have a nice lunch and a swim (for the braver amongst us). We were about 19 or 20 people but even with the full compliment of 24 passengers it wouldn't feel crowded.

This is the whale watching trip you want !
Fantastic time was had by all max 24 of us. We were picked up directly from our hotel and put back perfectly on time, this is important as the islands taxis are a law unto themselves, and we had a port change due to weather conditions. The cat was very comfy, good seats , on the front ( got wet that was great and was warned) and rear seats for the not so good sailors!. Saw lots of the resident short finned pillot whales adults and juveniles and a passing large turtle. This was January , the big whales and dolphins were elsewhere. Time for a swim at the end and was fed beer wine tapas . Great trip 3 hours long.

Unforgettable Marine Adventure with Monte Cristo Catamaran in Tenerife
Monte Cristo Catamaran offers an unforgettable marine excursion in Tenerife, combining exceptional service with breathtaking wildlife encounters. My experience was truly remarkable, with successful sightings of pilot whales and dolphins making it one of the most memorable trips I’ve ever had. The welcoming and knowledgeable guides enhanced the journey, and the abundance of marine life was simply awe-inspiring. A perfect blend of comfort, beauty, and adventure—I can’t recommend it highly enough!

      Sunset trip
I can hugely recommend this trip, Picked up from our hotel, Laura welcomed us on board along with Andreas the Captain. We were offered drinks throughout the trip, Laura told us information on the whales that we saw, so much respect given to the whales by the captain ( slowing down and waiting ). There were about 15 people on board so not crowded, a lovely stop at the beach area for guests to swim and snorkel or just enjoy the tapas and drinks socialising with other guests. Dropped back at the hotel at the end. What an amazing experience, worth the expense! Thank you Laura and Andreas for a great trip

      Perfect Birthday Treat
We arranged a surprise trip for my daughter’s 30th Birthday and it did not disappoint. Lauren looked after us brilliantly and everything was perfect from the pick up at hotel, the beautiful boat and the trip itself. We were so blessed to see two whale pods so close up. There were about 14 people on the boat so it was quite intimate and we got chatting with many of the guests. The drinks flowed throughout the trip and the food was just what we needed. The sunset did not disappoint nor did the slow journey home via the beautiful twinkly coastline. Overall the experience was one of the best things we’d ever done. 10/10

Great tour with a charming crew
We saw Dolphins and Wales and they swam along the boat as well. The crew was very nice and we are really happy we chose this tour instead of those with 60 or more people on the deck… So you really get good value!

Worth the search and wait for the large pod of pilot whales
The boat was quiet which was pleasant, it was choppy, we opted for front of boat, got splashed a little but views were amazing. Captain persevered and when heard a pod of pilot whales were in the area, respectfully waited for them to pass by. The wait was worth it, really special, thank you. Being a choppy ride we did not partake too much in the drinks and tapas but it looked yum. Boat was nice, not packed, headed for a quick swim by shore then back to harbour, only complaint was the toilet which was very yuck, maybe just unlucky as we were last trip of the day. All about the whales, and that did not disappoint.

      Amazing!
The whole experience from beginning to end was amazing. Communication regarding timing and pickup was excellent. The team were extremely knowledgeable and professional and we saw many pilot whales. What a delight! There was plenty of delicious food and drink (thank you for all the Cava!) with a few unexpected little treats at the end. We were then dropped off at our hotel which made the excursion so easy and pleasurable. I would definitely take swimming gear next time (just in case) as the water did look very inviting! Thank you Team Monte Cristo!

      An amazing evening!
We had the pleasure of joining the Monte Cristo Catamaran Sunset Trip, and it exceeded all expectations! From start to finish, the experience was incredible. The crew was outstanding—warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about ensuring everyone had an unforgettable time. A special shout out to Laura who was absolutely lovely and shared lots of great information & facts. The boat itself was spacious and comfortable, offering stunning views of the ocean and coastline. One of the absolute highlights was spotting 2 pods of pilot whales & how close we were able to get to them. A surreal experience that left us in awe. We even saw flying fish darting out of the waves. Throughout the trip, we were treated to delicious tapas, beautifully prepared and perfect for snacking as we sipped on endless glasses of cava. The cava flowed freely, adding to the already relaxing atmosphere. We felt truly spoiled by the views and the experience. It’s hard to imagine a better way to spend an evening at sea. If you’re looking for a luxurious, laid-back adventure with great hosts, wildlife, and amazing food and drink, this trip is an absolute must!

The staff was very friendly. The van that picked me up was not marked with the business so I was a little hesitant to board at first, since I was traveling alone. Driver was not English speaking so it took me a moment before I was convinced he was with the right tour.

Two other critiques to make this experience from a “good” to a “great”: use a loudspeaker system when narrating the script about the sea life and please, please, please warn your guests to sit down BEFORE the boat begins to sail!! I was asked to move after we were moving and nearly fell in the soaking wet deck. Use more safety precautions with your customers as I was not the only one this happened to! I am from US and vacation in Florida yearly having taken dozens of boat tours and this has never happened to me.

Otherwise, we were able to sight plenty of the Pilot whales in action, but not any dolphins. The amount of time viewing them was adequate for the price of the tour, and the sunset viewing was divine. Viewing the island from the water is a must, especially if you are an avid photographer.

Great experience from start to finish. My Partner booked online - originally there was no option for pick up at our hotel, so we selected another, which was a short walk from our Hotel. However, there was clear instructions that someone would be in contact the day before the trip to confirm all details. On the day before the trip, a very Friendly and helpful Female called my Partner to confirm collection time/location. This Lady asked if we were staying in the hotel on the booking and we advised that we were not and that this was the only option. She confirmed that the transfer would collect us from our hotel, no problem at all, which was nice and made it easier for us. The transfer arrived at the allocated time and went smoothly.

On arrival at the port, we were met by staff and welcomed onto the Boat. I can’t speak highly enough of the 3 onboard staff, they were amazing! The Female English Lady (I believe her name was Michelle) was absolutely brilliant. She made sure that everyone was safe and enjoying themselves throughout the trip, she was very attentive. Always making sure that people had drinks and even assisted numerous Kids that were sea sick.

We were lucky enough to be sat upstairs with the Captain, who was very Friendly and knowledgeable about the sea life animals. We managed to see Pilot Whales whilst out on the Boat and the Captain took time to point out Male, Female and Baby Whales, whilst explaining how to identify these. We didn’t manage to see the Dolphins (they must have been hiding). This is completely out of the team’s control (they’re wild animals) and had absolutely no effect on the enjoyment of the trip!

The Team dropped the Anchor and stopped for 30 minutes to serve a lovely Tapas Lunch with more drinks. Whilst stopped, we were given the opportunity to swim in the Sea. Although we didn’t go into the water, it was nice to see the group that did and see the fish swimming around/eating the breadsticks.

It does have to be said that the Tenerife Sea is very choppy, so this has to be expected.

I would definitely recommend this Boat Trip.
It’s great value for money, you won’t be disappointed!

We went on the afternoon trip and from start to finish the experience was made by the absolutely brilliant and accommodating staff. We set off at 12:30pm and within around 40mins we had already seen a Turtle and were approaching a group of pilot whales and managed to get some fantastic snaps. Throughout the journey, the staff were attentive, offering drinks and tending to the inevitable seasickness - one of the sufferers being my teenage son! After about 2hrs we stopped off for a 30 min swim break and they served up some light tapas-style food for us, which was really tasty. There were around 20 or so people on the trip, but it never felt too crowded and we were able to get up and move around the boat with ease. I would say it is one to avoid if you suffer with seasickness as it will end up being a pretty unpleasant 3hrs but, for anyone else, I cannot recommend this enough. A final thank you to the staff for being really understanding with my son and helping him through the seasickness as best as they could; they were caring and compassionate and did their absolute best to help him through it.

We booked the sunset tour, hoping to see a few whales or dolphins and a relaxed evening.

We learned that there are around 600 pilot whales between La Gomera and Tenerife.

After a short trip, our captain Andreas discovered a group of pilot whales and dolphins.

Laura told us a lot of interesting facts about the animals.

Andreas spotted the next group of dolphins on the way to the bathing area.

    So we were lucky:)

Our son (5) was absolutely delighted.

Many thanks again to Laura, who gave our son a life jacket, listened to his stories at all times and provided us with drinks and food.

We would book this tour again and can recommend it without reservation.

    Thank you Laura and Andreas!

Theo thought it was great too!

This was so well worth it. Three hours on a lovely warm sunny evening on a catamaran. We got to see a group of Pilot whales a number of times a few km out from shore. We also got to see a school of dolphins, one that did a couple of circus like jumps before joining us at the front of the boat and swimming along with us before disappearing. As the sun set we headed for a quiet bay where we stopped for tapas and to allow any swimmers to take a dip with snorkel and goggles to view the marine life. After the sun set we headed back to port. The crew were super. Very friendly and explained all about the marine life we were viewing. Our trip included pick up and drop off from our hotel as well as three hours out on the catamaran. This was really good value for money as well as being a magical evening.

    We did the sunset tour.
Well organized and great service on board.
We saw a lot of pilot whales and after a short swimming break we were able to experience the sunset on the Mehr.
2 women felt so bad on board that the captain took them back to port. The time was changed so that the tour ended at 7:30 p.m. instead of 7:00 p.m.
There is a toilet on the boat, a lounge below deck and a bar. The ship was very clean, even though it was the last day of the tour. Drinks were included throughout. After 2.5 hours, plenty of tapas (mostly cold ones) were served.
The tour with this boat and the crew is absolutely recommended.

We booked this excursion as our preferred whale watching trip was cancelled due to boat issues. The boat is big and comfortable and the staff are very knowledgeable and accommodating. We saw lots of pilot whales but no dolphins.
The food provided is really nice and they have lots of it to give you.
My only issue with the trip is that some of our fellow guests were very drunk and continued to drink lots of alcohol, which was provided by the staff. Unfortunately British tourists always let you down, and this time they were much more interested in drinking alcohol very loudly than whale watching. We did make a stop along the coast where you can enter the sea and snorkel, but there was nothing to see and felt like we were wasting time.
This excursion is good if you want a bit of whale watching and alcohol but if you are just wanting to watch whales I'd pick another.

It was quite wonderful, for 59€ we were picked up, had a nice ride, the service was more than attentive, the drinks were chilled and we could consume as much as we wanted, even the tapas were top. We also saw whales and afterwards we were dropped off at the hotel again. All around a really perfect tour! Highly recommended!

Absolutely to do! The boat is by far the most beautiful we have seen, and the crew is top notch. We spent 3 hours at sea in superb weather. The captain managed to get us close to the pilot whales (we could almost have touched them!), then raced with a family of dolphins and finally landed in a small cove at sunset while giving us a little meal and swim (diving equipment available).
All this washed down with beer, Cava and local honey rum (also offered!!), a perfect experience
PS: the boat cannot accommodate many people (around twenty), which further improves the experience.

Not to be missed, don't hesitate if you are looking for a sea excursion.

Very friendly staff, great number of people, there were not too many of us, everyone has plenty of room.

They took us to see pilot whales (close to dolphins), we saw a lot of them as well as a sea turtle. Stop for dinner in a cove where we can swim.

Simple buffet meal, tapas type, but delicious. Unlimited drinks. Small tasting of local rum.

    Really well organized, top team.

    We recommend 100%
