We went on our honeymoon for over two weeks around Xmas and new year and Nilan was our tour guide for the whole holiday providing transfers, guiding us, organising incredible excursions and recommending great restaurants and bars to go to for the evenings. The whole thing was absolutely perfect and Nilan provided us with the best honeymoon we could imagine. He’s incredibly reliable, knowledgeable about the country and most importantly a great guy! He was extremely helpful and gave great advice on things to do and see and organised some amazing excursions that we would have never done without his help (and for much less than we would have paid through a hotel or travel agent..) We went to the Kandy area, Gal Oya and then two different places on the Beach near Galle and Nilan knew loads about each area and made sure we had an incredible time in each place. I would 110% recommend Awesome Lanka - we will definitely be doing another trip with them again!! Thank you Nilan!!

Nilan was our guide and was driving us around. He is the absolute best. He took care of all our requests. He is a local and that absolutely helps.. in communication, in navigating around, in planning the itinerary. He was recommended by a friend and we’re so thankful to them. This was a one week trip I took with my mom and she is a senior citizen and needed comfort in moving around. So we kept the car with us for all the days.. right from airport pick up to drop off. We kept our base at Weligama, explored the area, took day trips to Galle and then headed to Nuwara Eliya uphill. He was there with us throughout. He also took us to all the tourist spots and the unexplored ones too. Helped with currency exchange.. told us when we were being charged extra and took us to another current place instead. Recommended good food spots. All in all a great experience. Thank you So much Nilan and team for your services ;)

I went for a 5 day trip to Sri Lanka with my family. And we booked everything via Nilan, Awesome Lanka Travels, it was an extremely smooth journey, with everything so well planned and costs were totally reasonable, nothing was over priced. Nilan was extremely sweet and he was so helpful with everything we wanted. The car, the whale watching experience, the smaller getaways, everything was perfect. He was there to answer all queries at just a msg. He personally took us around and ensured we had no trouble interacting with people since he was English speaking. Thank you so much, with two small kids we did not face any problem at all. It was a lovely trip.

Nilan accompanied us for 8 days in the south of Sri Lanka. He drives carefully. He is always on time for our appointments. Whatever our wishes, he always found the right addresses. He is charming and considerate. In summary: excellent driver and excellent guide.

A friend put us in touch with Nilan from Awesome Lanka Travels before our journey so that we could organise some transfers. After some great communication and recomendations it made sense and was better value to book Nilan as our driver and tour guide for the entire trip rather than for just individual transfers and day trips, so that's what we did! Nilan's friendly personality combined with his vast experience and knowledge of Sri Lanka 'made' our holiday. He provided a comfortable vehicle for our group of four, nothing was ever too much trouble, he would make recommendations and then always be happy to work with our timings and choices. We explored Bentota for 3 days which was more of a relaxed experience before completing a safari in Yala National Park where Nilan was our personal guide also and then heading to Galle for 6 days where Nilan had amazing local knowledge and showed us the best of Galle Fort and the surrounding areas. We finally headed to Columbo for a final day in Sri Lanka which rounded off our trip perfectly. I would definitely return to Sri Lanka and consult Nilan from the very beginning of any hotel or flight bookings so that he could advise accordingly on the best places to stay and when depending on which sites you would like to visit, for example Sigiriya Rock which isn't the most accessible from the South.
